From an elevated teeing area this tricky downhill left to right dogleg will demand delicacy in the extreme to tame an elevated green with no margin for error at the back.
Another of the long Par 5’s with strategically placed fairway bunkers. A shot of extreme accuracy invites you to hold an elevated green. Beware of bunkers guarding the front left and righ of the green.
You are reduced to one shot to hit this green commanding you to carry all the way over the punishing water with difficulty on the left and the guarding bunkers on the right.
You will be punished on the left on this testing Par 4 to avoid a right-side bunker and the “ring fort”. Overshoot this green at your peril.
You may be temped to cut the corner of this extreme left-to-right dogleg. If you try it the “ring fort” may get you, if not, there is a fairway grass bunker that lies in wait. A long belt of trees to the left requires an accurate iron to score at this hole.
It’s a daunting enough task to complete the “ring fort” corner but to face the sheer expanse of this par 5 hole is indeed a challenge. Strategically placed water gives the faint-hearted an option of playing well to the right of the well trapped green.
